In the 90's Robby Rae worked for a local manufacturer of automotive repair equipment. They had been around for 75 years and the industry was in a serious downturn. I was the Parts Sales Manager in charge of a three person outbound sales group and 500,000 parts. Most of our inventory was for obsolete equipment and I had to find creative ways to use or sell it. The company filed for bankruptcy then came back as a lean mean fighting machine that rose from the ashes like a Phoenix.

It was here that I started to get involved with computers. Compiling spreadsheets and merging information from a mainframe computer to use with windows. I also feel in love with Apple Computers. I designed catalogs of our products using an Apple and developed a great relationship with the local Apple reseller.

Just before Y2K I joined that Apple Reseller in 1999. I solely ran our Dubuque, IA location which required me to drive an hour both ways but it was worth it. I had a passion for what they had and was even featured in the Dubuque Herald Business Section.
